“We’re not building any more roads, bridges, or tunnels.
We’re not creating any more railways.”
“I think a lot is going to come down the pipeline.
I don’t know if it’s going to be in the next 10 years, 20 years, or 50 years,” he adds.
“It’s really hard not to have a hard time.
But we’re really lucky.”
As a result, most cities in the US are starting to look to other cities in other countries for some of their infrastructure.
In fact, many of the big cities in Europe have started to look into the future, too.
“It’s all about thinking about it differently,” he explains.
“You’ve got a lot more infrastructure and a lot less of it.
We’ve got less of the [urban] landscape that was built before.
It’s all coming down to a question of how do you get it there and how do we build it?”
“So, the city that has the infrastructure to get it all built, the one that’s getting the most out of it, is going the way of cities like New York and Paris.”
The other big question is how will these changes affect the way people commute?
“We’re going to have to adapt to a lot different things,” says Dr Alastair Smith, a consultant for the National Transport and Environment Foundation (NTEF).
“What we’re going in for is a whole set of things, not just the car, but all kinds of different infrastructure, and that’s what we’re seeing in New York, for example.”
We don’t have a car. “
I don’t think we’re necessarily building anything new.
We don’t have a car.
We have a bus.
We could be looking at other ways of doing things.”
He says that while cities like Paris are already having to adapt, they’re not having to start from scratch.
The idea of the urban renaissance is that cities are going to go from being largely pedestrianised, to being completely designed for cars, he says, but he also believes that it’s a much longer process than people think.
It may seem like a lot to absorb in a few years, but for decades, the concept of an urban renaissance has been a way of thinking about how the urban future is going.
That’s something Dr Smith says cities like Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, and New York have already been working on, and are going ahead with.
He points out that some of the things that are already in place are very different from what is expected in the future.
There’s some things that people will want to move away from, like public transportation.
There’s some that will be very much in place, like the bike share system, but they’re all designed around a very different vision.
What’s going on in Boston?
Boston has been on a rapid-response mode for a long time.
Over the last decade, it has added over 200 miles of bike lanes, doubled the number of bike parking spaces, and even set up a new bike sharing program called Biketown.
While it’s been a bit of a boom town, there are some concerns about how that might change.
For one thing, some residents are still concerned that the changes are just a way to accommodate people who live close by, while keeping cars off the road.
Dr Smith points out, too, that Boston’s success has come as a result of the right people being there at the right time.
“They’re very, very smart people,” he said.
“When they started in the late 90s, they were the most successful bike-sharing program in the world.”
In other words, the smart people of the city.
However, there’s also the issue of whether or not the change will actually bring about the sort of changes people need to move out of their cars.
Many of the cities that are looking into this have already seen a drop in car use.
Even though Boston’s bike-share program is now well under way, the number and number of people who use it is still very low, Dr Smith said.
If you look at cities like Chicago and New Orleans, they see the same thing, and some of those cities have started looking at ways to incorporate some of these urban changes into their transport infrastructure.
But there’s a huge amount of work to be done.
When it comes to urban renewal, it’s still a lot work to do.
But if we can get the right mix of smart people in place at the proper time, and people are not living
