McCoys family said Wednesday that they have decided to build their own replica of the home they built in the 1950s as a boy.
The family said they would donate their original home and donate all proceeds to help other families that are affected by the drought.
The McCoys’ family built the replica home, a 12-foot-high (3-meter) wooden structure, in the backyard of their home in St. George, Utah.
It is now home to the McCoys and is part of their legacy.
The family said their new home is “a symbol of hope, of love and of hope for the future.”
